Artocarpus odoratissimus
$30.00
Artocarpus odoratissimus, commonly known as pehengan or terap, is a species within the genus Artocarpus known for having dense, sweet, and soft-textured flesh. This fruit is quite popular among rural communities due to its sweet flavor and the absence of a pungent aroma.
Like other Artocarpus species, the seeds of the terap fruit can also be consumed after being processed, whether by boiling, roasting, or frying. This fruit contains a relatively high carbohydrate content, as is typical for members of the Artocarpus genus.
One of the challenges in the development and marketing of the terap fruit is its relatively short shelf life, which necessitates proper post-harvest handling to maintain its quality
