Baccaurea motleyana
$30.00
The rambai fruit (Baccaurea motleyana) is a tropical fruit typical of Southeast Asia that thrives in Borneo and, at first glance, looks similar to the duku fruit because it grows in long, hanging clusters.
Its skin is thin, features a slightly velvety texture, and turns yellowish-brown when ripe, which can be easily peeled by hand.
Inside, there are several segments of translucent or semi-transparent white flesh wrapping around the seeds, offering a highly refreshing and juicy blend of sweet and sour flavors, making it a favorite snack for locals during the fruiting season.
