Once ready to eat, its flesh offers a unique flavor profile featuring a rich, creamy taste combined with a distinct, slightly astringent tartness.

Typically enjoyed by the local community as a side dish for rice, dipped in salt or soy sauce, this wild fruit is becoming increasingly rare and stands as one of Borneo's valuable authentic culinary heritages
