Mangifera caesia
The wanyi mango (Mangifera caesia), also known as binjai in some regions, is an endemic fruit of Borneo characterized by its oval-round shape resembling a goose egg and a pale yellowish-green skin when ripe.
This fruit is famous for its highly sharp, fragrant, and piercing aroma, which is even stronger than that of the bacang mango.
Beneath its thin skin, the wanyi features a milk-white flesh that is incredibly soft, juicy, and finely fibrous, offering an intensely sharp yet refreshing blend of sweet-and-sour flavors; this makes it a local favorite to be eaten fresh or processed into appetizing wanyi sambal
